3 Sessions with R. Me’irah

We will put the ‘crowning touch’ on our handmade Tallitot, the atarah, (crown) or neckpiece. This helps orient the wearer to put on the tallit correctly, and can be merely decorative or have an inspiring verse embroidered upon it. At the close of this class, we will have a “fashion show” of the beautiful tallitot, and record the stories behind the design choices of the makers.

School of Jewish Living Arts Classes are open to all, members & non-members, adults and those younger than adults.  We request a donation of your choice to support on-going Jewish education through the SJLA.  You can donate through the Or Shalom website.

This event is currently planned to be held in our new building, which requires climbing 21 steps to access.
