Or Shalom's Shabbat services reconnect us to the spirituality and joy at the heart of Judaism. They are rich with music, chanting, and contemplative silence.

Or Shalom offers four Shabbat services a month led by Rabbi Faryn or our own congregants. Please join us. All are welcome.

First and third Fridays
At the Noe Valley Ministry (1021 Sanchez St)

Second Fridays
A brief “Welcoming Shabbat” led by congregants on Zoom.

Fourth Fridays
A Traveling Shabbat in a congregant’s home.

    A Welcoming Shabbat is a short virtual gathering composed of songs like Shalom Aleichem and Lecha Dodi, candle lighting, healing blessings, the Mourners’ Kaddish, and Shabbat poetry. It gives attendees a chance to see one another and offer each other a Shabbat Shalom and to mark and welcome Shabbat from the comfort of our homes.
