Musical Shabbat at Community Music Center
Experience Shabbat filled with music, warmth, and community.
Looking for a Friday night that’s joyful, welcoming, and full of song? Or Shalom’s Musical Shabbat brings people together for spirited singing, meaningful prayer, and good food in great company. All backgrounds and ages are welcome — whether this is your first time or you’re a regular.

5:30 pm – Happy Half Hour
Kick off Shabbat with relaxed social time over wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks, and light snacks, sponsored by a member of our community. Happy Half Hour is the perfect way to meet new people, catch up with friends, and ease into the evening together. -
6:00 pm – Musical Shabbat Service
Led by Rabbi Faryn and our Music Ensemble. -
7:30 pm – Vegetarian Potluck Dinner
Bring a dish if you can — everyone is welcome at the table.
Kids welcome:
There’s a dedicated space for children during the service. Families can use this area anytime, and we do our best to provide volunteer-led childcare.

🧸 Children at Services: Children are always welcome at Or Shalom! Families are invited to use the dedicated kids’ space during services at any time, and we do our best to provide volunteer-led childcare. All adults — whether currently parenting young children or not — are encouraged to read our community statement on Welcoming Children at Services.
⚠️ Food Note: All potluck dishes must arrive fully prepared, include a complete ingredient list, with its own own serving utensils and reusable dishware — no kitchen access available.
