Teen Program

This year’s Or Shalom Teen Program invites 8th–12th grade members to come together monthly for learning, connection, and social action, grappling with the challenges and opportunities of being Jewish youth in this moment.

Crafted in partnership with teen participants, our sessions explore Jewish identity in today’s world, the call to take action for justice, and the role of youth leadership in shaping the future of Or Shalom. Together, we’ll dive into Jewish texts, discuss what it means to “show up” as Jews for the issues that matter, and put our values into action through advocacy and community projects.

Each gathering includes making Havdalah together, lively discussion, planning next steps for our advocacy work, and plenty of time to relax with friends over pizza (or a holiday-friendly dinner when needed) and snacks.

We hope you’ll join us for as many sessions as you can! There’s no set fee for the program — we simply ask for a donation of your choosing toward the pizza pool!
