2025-26 Membership Renewal

We invite members to renew their membership for our upcoming fiscal year, which runs from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The renewal period continues through August 31, in preparation for the High Holy Day season.

Or Shalom relies on member financial commitments to fund the majority of our budget. We deeply value the diversity within our community — including the wide range of financial capacities among our members. Annual contributions range from $18 to $12,000, and we are equally grateful for every gift. You know your financial situation best, and we encourage you to choose a level of support that feels both meaningful and manageable for you.

To help you decide, here is a snapshot of the numbers:


Sustaining Membership, meaning our operating costs divided by the number of member households, amounts to $3,600 a year or $300 a month. For membership to be accessible for people with fewer financial resources, we need 40% of our households to contribute at or above $3,600 a year, including 5% in the highest tier and 15% in the second highest tier.

Tier 1: $8,000-$13,000/year
Tier 2: $5,000-$8,000/year
Tier 3: $2,000-$5,000/year
Tier 4: $600-$2,000/year
Tier 5: $18-$600/year

We invite you to increase your commitment this year if your resources permit. Remember that you can set up recurring monthly payments to make it more comfortable to be generous.

Your contribution makes it possible for this community to exist for all of us when we need it most.

Optional - Additional Donation Opportunities
In addition to your annual financial commitment, we invite you to consider making an extra gift to support specific areas of need within our community.

By renewing your membership, you will automatically be added to our member listserv, OS Connect. If you prefer not to be included, please email us at office@orshalomsf.org with the subject line “OS Connect Opt-Out.” You can also adjust your preferences at any time through your listserv settings.

Renewal also grants Or Shalom Jewish Community permission to take and share unnamed photos of household members on our website and/or social media. Please contact the office to opt-out.This photo release does not apply to children under 18, who will only be included with explicit parental or guardian consent.

If paying by check, simply click the 'bill my account' button. Keep payment terms on 'pay once now' and send in your payment(s).

If paying by debit or credit card, you will be prompted to complete the transaction in a single sum or recurring charges to be completed by April 30, 2026. Payment instructions will be on the payment page. If the system detects it is a debit card, the transaction fee will be removed from your total upon processing. 

If paying by Charitable Giving Fund or IRA distribution, simply click the 'bill my account' button on the payment page and configure payment with your fund provider.

If paying by stock transfer, simply click the 'bill my account' button on the payment page and contact the office for instructions if needed.
