Emergency Preparedness Training

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM331 Cortland AveThe Community Safety Committee believes that we, as a community, have a responsibility to keep each other safe. As a part of this commitment, we will be offering a series of trainings to help skill up our community in various safety skills so that we feel confident in our abilities to keep each other safe. This is the second training in which you have the opportunity to become certified in CPR and learn other emergency response skills.
Join us for an afternoon of Emergency Preparedness Training with the San Francisco Fire Ner Tamid Society! This event will be open to any interested adults, and attendance is especially encouraged for those interested in serving as greeters at Or Shalom events. Specific trainings will include:
- The American Heart Association’s Community’s “Hands-Only" CPR;
- When and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED);
- Stop the Bleed techniques;
- Earthquake Preparedness based on the SF Fire Department’s Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT) curriculum
Space is limited to 12 participants.

Approximate Schedule:
1-2 PM: CPR & AED Training
2-3 PM: Stop the Bleed
3-4 PM: Earthquake Preparedness
We encourage folks to attend the entirety of the training. However, if you want to come to only one in the above schedule, please indicate in your registration.
