2023-24 Partnership Renewal

Or Shalom is a community on the move – literally. We have a beautiful building in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. We have a new rabbi, Faryn Borella, starting in July. We have launched a School of Jewish Living Arts, (SJLA) and we are reinvigorating our youth, family, and adult programs. Additionally, watch for our updated website and revitalized social media presence.

We are so glad you are here.

We are all partners, whether you have been with us for the past year, the past 30 years, or somewhere in between. We are brought together by our belief that through community, music, prayer, study, spirituality, and tikkun olam, we will transform ourselves and the world.

Your partnership enables us to:

  • create an inclusive community with people across the spectrum of age, background, identity, and spiritual connection;
  • build a community of learning, moral inspiration, camaraderie, support; and;
  • continue our social action and justice endeavors as we work together to change the world.

For years our community has wandered throughout San Francisco. Now, at long last, our dream of a home of our own, of permanent space, of being in control of our schedule and activities, has come true. This has opened a world of possibilities—and also means confronting what it takes to be a property owner in San Francisco.

Now, as we plant roots in our new Cortland Avenue home, we each have a continued shared responsibility. This year, we ask you to strengthen your financial partnership with us. Please review your Or Shalom Partnership Renewal Form below for more information.

We are so glad you are here.

Partnership Levels:

With our new home on Cortland Avenue, exciting new programming and more, we need you to dig deeper this coming year and strengthen your continued financial partnership with Or Shalom. Read the State of Or Shalom for more in depth information. Also, you have the flexibility to decide how to make your contribution – pay all at once or in installments.

  • Sustaining Partnership: $300/month or $3,600/year

With our current number of households, this amount is the actual investment per household to operate Or Shalom – our building, music, family programs, social justice efforts, staff, social media, and more. Anyone can join at this level – it’s less than $10 a day, such a deal!

  • Family Partnership: $200/month or $2,400/year. For your family – Shabbat and holiday programs…and hopefully less than your annual streaming service(s), with no interruptions!

  • Couples Partnership: $150/month or $1,800/year. For you and your partner to do it, together…less than your annual caffeine fix!

  •  Individual Partnership: $100/month or $1,200/year. For you! Invite a friend for you too!– there are so many ways to connect at Or Shalom.
  • DIY Partnership: Everyone has their own circumstance, and we say, “Yes” to any financial partnership – greater than or less than the suggested Partnership Levels. Radical inclusivity is our intention across the board. Contact our Executive Director, Amy Mallor, to create a financial partnership that works best for you.

There are many methods to pay your Partnership Commitment. Paper check(s) are the least expensive, with no transaction fee.  eChecks are the next least expensive method, followed by single or recurring credit card charges. We include the convenience fee for all eCheck and credit card-mediated transactions.

If paying by credit card, please select the number of payments on the payment page.
