6:00 PM - 8:30 PMSunnysideTraveling Shabbat is a monthly Shabbat gathering hosted by one of our community members at their home. It's typically a short service facilitated by the host followed by a potluck dinner. This month, join us for Traveling Shabbat at the home of Gayle Marlow in Sunnyside, co-hosted by Anna Levitt & Susanah Graves. Address and contact information are provided in the confirmation email after registration. Please bring a vegetarian potluck dish to share.
👋 Meet Your Co-Host: Gayle Markow returned to Or Shalom two years ago after a long spiritual journey that began when her daughter Anna became a B’ Mitzvah here 35 years ago. A San Franciscan of 58 years, she worked as a Registered Nurse at SF General and has long been active in social justice. She enjoys photography, writing, and playing ukulele, and has loved getting to know fellow members at Traveling Shabbats and retreats — especially her neighbors Anna Levitt and Susannah Graves, with whom she’s delighted to co-host this month’s gathering.
👋 Meet Your Co-Hosts: Anna Levitt and Susannah Graves met at a music gig in San Diego and have been married since 2014. Now settled in San Francisco, where Susannah grew up, Anna works in utilities and sustainability at UCSF Health, and Susannah directs tuberculosis control for the City. Their sons, Lev (8) and Maxler (4), attend Sunnyside Elementary and UCSF Mission Bay preschool. Lev has a quiet love of music, while Maxler dreams of “surviving in the wild” in Alaska. The family joined Or Shalom this fall.
