We Rise, Together
It is said that when the Israelites left Mitzrayim (the narrow place), an "Erev Rav" — a mixed multitude — rose with them.
Who was this "Erev Rav?" They were peoples of Mitzrayim, who chose to throw in their lot with that of the Israelites, many far before this moment of Exodus and guaranteed liberation.
Corners of rabbinic tradition have seen the "Erev Rav" as “the problem” — the source of the Israelites’ troubles, both historically and throughout Jewish history.
But we know that we are better, together. We know that no one is free until all of us are free, and in order to get free, we all must rise,
together.
So join us this High Holidays season to rise, in our bountiful, beautiful mixity, toward the better world we all deserve.
We warmly welcome our members, non-members, friends, and the curious to explore our wide range of High Holy Days programming.
