Embodied Spiritual Practice: Shabbat Shuva, the Shabbat of Renewal

Saturday, September 27, 2025 5 Tishrei 5786

10:00 AM - 12:15 PM331 Cortland Ave

Shabbat Shuvah, the Shabbat of Renewal, arrives as a threshold between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, when the gates of transformation are said to stand open. In this liminal space, we turn with body, breath, and spirit toward Teshuvah โ€” returning to our truest selves and to one another.

Rooted in this year's High Holiday teachings of Erev Rav Alah โ€” the great mixed multitude rising together โ€” we remember that our differences are not divisions but gifts, facets of Divine wholeness. OS member Gail Gurewitz will guide us through gentle yoga and movement, meditation, sharing, and embodied prayer. Together, we will rise in the diversity and unity of our bodies and sacred community, weaving our uniqueness into a shared expression of renewal. Come as you are; together we will rise, return, reconnect, and reweave.

This all-levels workshop is for all bodies and abilities, modifications will be offered.

๐ŸŽ’ Please bring: Yoga gear, meditation or other pillow, a tallit, notepad or journal.
